Rite Aid #03460: The Small-Town RA1 Nightmare

We welcome you to Frankfort, NY. A small town 5 miles west of Herkimer, and home to a consistently classic Rite Aid. Pictures were taken on January 26 and 29, 2018.

The sun shines on the early-1990s Rite Aid sign.

Matching and aging lightbox. Another original artifact due to the yellowing. Green facade seems rather interesting, due to it being a somewhat common color for the times.

Front end from the opposite angle. Take note of the red signage on the left, as well as the red/blue floor striping.

Our first dose of RA1. Coolers seem more generic and not special by Rite Aid standards. Or maybe they're older-style coolers.

Aisle 9 of RA1. None of the aisle markers been updated since.

Aisle 2. Contains personal care items. Also in the distance is a "Thank You For Shopping Rite Aid" sign.

"The Rite Season." More like "The Rite Decor:" No Customer World and especially that dreaded Wellness decor either.

More smaller-scale signage. Signs are surprisingly fully red compared to others where the lettering looks pink instead.

Carts aren't anything out of the ordinary. Typical late-1990s Rehrig Mini shopping carts Rite Aid stores upgraded to or came with late-1990s stores.

2 days later. We cover things not in the pictures from the first visit.

RA1-grade Pharmacy. Store's boxy appearance makes the wavy RA1 signage look unusual.

FoodMart. Another wavy sign that looks strange in a boxy store such as this. Sits above the ice and ice cream.

e m n ne Hyg ene. All the "I's" are missing. Don't see them fixing this anytime soon.

And to wrap it up: Thank You for Shopping at RITE AID. And as always, until next time.
