ALDI Rebuilding: Saranac Lake, NY

In this episode of ALDI rebuilding, we look at something covered well behind schedule. Let's go back to September 2018...

ALDI opened this location in 2007 in a former Chevrolet Dealership that lost its license to operate. This buildings briefly shared mechanicals and one wall with the replacement building. This building would be gone over a month later.

The replacement building, which as said before, is temporarily sharing a wall with the old one.

Wanzl shopping carts from 2013. Not too uncommon to see.

The present day...

This building was completed in November 2018, with these pictures taken in June 2019.

Instead of the usual double-wide Technibilt 7142Ws, this store uses slightly smaller carts, model 6840W, with a nonspecific DoM. The 9 and 8 at the bottom suggest these were manufactured in September 2018.

Location also has a higher ceiling on the front end, with plenty of light being let in by the large windows in at right.

Unlike the Ilion location, the ALDI fresh section is in the back left part of the store instead of the front.

Until next time, stay alert, for one place could be open one day, gone the next.
