Chopping the Tops in Oneida

In this post, we will cover a Price Chopper that occupies a former Tops.

Photos taken on October 24 and December 8, 2017, and April 23, 2021. Post was amended on September 13, 2024.

This store was among one of six Tops stores sold to Price Chopper in 2005. On the 30th of October that year, Price Chopper moved here from a 1989 store at the Glenwood Shopping Center.

The store's grand aisle is on the left side. The deli and prepared foods area was in this area (not shown). And now that I think about it, that Produce sign looks like a recolored Ahold-style sign similar to this.

The department shown to your left is the Seafood department, which is in the back left corner. Meats are further ahead.

The section with open ceilings housed the frozen foods section.

Dairy lines the right-hand wall while bakery sits along the front right.
