Today on FLASH BACK, we go back to June 30, 2017 to an ALDI that is unusual in more ways than one, shall we? Dann mal los!
The building looks goofy with the Eckerd gables chopped off. Also the vestibule is used as a secondary cart bay. The ALDI logo was updated a year later.
Curiously for a 2017 opening, the store came with chrome-framed Wanzl GmbH & Co. KGaA model D185RC35 einkaufswagen.
Unlike other coin deposit devices in which the coin is inserted into the front of the box, the coin is inserted onto a tray on the side and fed into the box to unlock the chain.
Information badge, as is typical with Wanzl einkaufswagen.
Inside is your typical modern ALDI, well except for the fact it has a grey drop ceiling rather than a black open truss ceiling.
