FLASHBACK: No Joy for Toys in Clifton Park


In this edition of FLASH BACK, we go back to July 13, 2017 to a suspected former Joy Stores location in the North Country Commons shopping center in Clifton Park, New York.

This is the left-most large tenant space in the North Country Commons shopping center. It is said this was a Joy Brands store, though it is not apparent which.

Front end. The layout of the vestibule, checkout counter, and position of the cart bay are similar to that of the Albany and Schenectady locations.

In the middle of the store there is laminated woodgrain flooring. Knowing one of the spaces in this shopping center was once a Boat/RV facility, perhaps it was this space?

Back right corner of the store is home to rugs, similar to Ollie's stores.

Housewares and hardware grace the left side of the store.

But since these pictures were taken in 2017, the lighting shown has since been updated to LED strips. Here is a random picture from June 2019 showing the new lighting:
